EGRET(+) aftermovie!

We are very excited to show you the after movie of EGRET(+)! In this extended program, we trained 25 enthusiastic and intelligent young researchers to become the next generation of glaucoma researchers. The result: a great network of amazing scientists that have shown not only to connect on a scientific but also on a social level.

Check out the video here.

EGRET(+) Grand Project Summary

From the start of 2016 – mid 2020, the European Glaucoma Research Training program (EGRET) and the European Glaucoma Research Training program-plus (EGRET-plus) together funded a total 25 Early Stage Researchers (ESRs) across Europe to work on important questions related to glaucoma. The ESRs have acquired new, quantitative knowledge on glaucoma and the aging visual system, and have applied this to boost innovation in glaucoma care in both public and private sectors. This has been accomplished by extensive research in different disciplines: basic vision science, epidemiology, genetics, neuroimaging, eye-tracking and psychophysics.

This EGRET(+) leaflet presents the situation by the end of the two programs. It provides a short summary of at least one major output from each ESR and describes its potential future relevance to healthcare, science, society and industry.

CLOSING SYMPOSIUM OF EGRET-cofund

savethedate_DC_8sept Voor Nederlands, zie onderaan… The EGRET-cofund consortium welcomes you all to their closing symposium on September 8th, 2020. Unfortunately, due to the current regulations regarding COVID-19, you can only attend this event virtually. Yet, this does allow you to attend only part of the program, depending on your topic of interest. EGRET-cofund is a EU funded Marie-Curie and at UMCG running training program with a research focus on Glaucoma. In total, we’ve trained 10 early stage researchers to become great scientist, all sharing a similar scientific aim: Earlier and better diagnosis and treatment of Glaucoma. During this symposium we’ll present, from different disciplines (a.o., genetics, psychophysics, neuroimaging and epidemiology), our results and latest developments towards accomplishing this aim. For more information about EGRET-cofund, visit our website www.egret-program.eu Register here (participation is free of charge). More information about the program and how to participate will follow by email, after you’ve registered. You may also follow the closing symposium via this live stream (no registration needed). Hope to “see” you there! Registreer hier (deelname is gratis).
