Neuro-ophthalmology clinical researcher on retinal degeneration and visual system changes, in Parkinson’s disease.

I am interested in tracking loss of cognitive capacity and clarifying stage of neurodegenerative processes. My aim is developing a clearer picture of disease impact and disease stage within individuals. In my current project I am researching cognitive and volumetric deterioration in Parkinson’s disease. Previously I was working on developing new non-invasive neurorehabilitation options for Parkinson’s, using neuroimaging methods: EEG and fMRI. Before that I worked clinically in neurorehabilitation in the British National Health Service, evaluating patients with acquired brain damage and neurodegenerative disease.
