“Sensory biophysics and diagnostics; genetics of glaucoma”

During this workshop, fellows will be trained and educated on the auditory and visual biophysics and diagnostics, as well as the molecular genetics and genetic epidemiology of glaucoma. Furthermore, a visit to one of our partner organisations Johnson & Johnson Vision (formerly known as Abbott Medical Optics and the producer of glaucoma drainage devices and inventor of two important glaucoma drugs) is planned.

“Visual system physiology & Introduction to the many faces of glaucoma and neurodegeneration”

During this first workshop, fellows will get taught in physiology of visual system, glaucoma, aging visual system, neurodegeneration. Measurement practicles will acquaint fellows with ophthalmic measurements such as intraocular pressure, contrast sensitivity, visual acuity, perimetry, OCT.

“Human visual system pathophysiology – advances in research, diagnostics & therapy”

During this workshop, fellows will be trained and educated on structural and functional MRI, VEP, EEG measurements in relation to assessing the visual system in health and disease.
